23 Mar Covid – Precautionary closure of Johannesburg Member Service Center
Over the weekend of 21 March 2020, management of the Salt Employee Benefits Fox Street Member Service Centre (Front office) was advised that an employee has been in contact with a family member who tested positive for the Covid 19 virus. As per legislative protocol, and in order to ensure the safety of our staff, our members and to mitigate risk to all others, the below measures have been put in place:
- The immediate precautionary closure of the Fox Street Member Service centre;
- All staff have been asked to self-quarantine and provide updates to us regarding their physical wellbeing;
- The employee concerned has been asked to ensure that she is tested and to advise Salt EB immediately regarding the outcome of the tests;
- We are in the process of sanitizing this business unit as is required and will therefore not be able to receive and service our valued members at present.
We have, however, in the interim started implementing the necessary steps to resume with (remote managed-) operational continuity at our Fox Street Service Centre, as soon as reasonably possible under these unprecedented circumstances. We will be providing all our PSSPF employer clients with an update regarding the implementation of operational contingency measures in such regard, in due course.
Your allocated Client Liaison Officer, will ensure service continuity at employer level with minimum disruption. He-/She may be contacted via email or telephone, please refer to table of contacts listed below for ease of reference.
