15 Dec The significance of the Day of Reconciliation
THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THE DAY OF RECONCILIATION
While we hear of so much polarisation in South Africa (and indeed, globally), the behaviour and attitudes of groups at the opposite ends of the spectrum do not necessarily suggest how the majority of South Africans feel about each other and our country overall. We are a diverse and increasingly inclusive nation.
As we celebrate the Day of Reconciliation on the 16th December, let’s reflect on the past but also consider our own attitudes and behaviour towards different cultures. Let’s think about the rich tapestry that makes our country great. Think about our great RWC victory just over a year ago as evidence that together, we have so much more to give.
Enjoy the day!
